Essays and Recommendation Letters
Essays: I’m starting them in mid-August. I did well on AP Language and I did well on the SAT Writing…I guess I’m decent. I’ll make my essays original and interesting (hopefully). Let’s just say they’re good.
Recommendations: They’re going to be pretty kickass. I’m guessing they won’t be generic but personal and profound? I already have a rec. from my guidance counseler and my science teacher from a previous program, so I’m pretty sure they have a good idea on what to write next time.

Thanks.

Well, it must be comforting to know that people will have such profound things to say about you.

Gross. Do you have ANY idea what you sound like when you make statements like that? Seriously, I’m curious.

What are your Math & Critical Reading scores?
Duke doesn’t count Writing as much as the other two…

If you have above 1500 in Math + CR… I would say that with your grades and EC’s that you should get in RD for Duke.
Good luck!

“Odyssey of the Mind (9th to 12th):”
what the h-e-double snakes is that?

Isn’t Odyssey of the Mind now called Destination Imagination? At least, it is in my region…
