Regular Decision

ahh yes…April 1st. The dreaded final judgement day we’re all waiting for. Good luck my fellow obsessive compulsive TAMS checkers/fellow anxiety-ridden alcoholics. Good luck.

haha, good luck to you all as well. i was so nervous the night before mit decisions came out, but a nice cold drink (alcoholic, of course) calmed me down. i’ll probably end up doing the same thing the night of the 29th too, but i have more than one school’s decision coming that day (including my top choice’s) so it’ll probably be anxiety to the max. ahh, too bad it’s a school day the next day.

chug, chug, chug ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…

How’d you fare at MIT?

what is tams?

haha i know this must be a lame question

TAMS stands for the “Tufts Admissions Management System.” I believe most of us received a user name and password from the school … but anyways, you can check the forms that you have sent in from the site like … what financial aid documents they have gotten, and just basic general info about yourself. the big thing is that decisions will be there when tufts uploads them onto tams. rumor has it they should be out around the 30th, ihatescottogden. CROSS YOUR FINGERS, GUYS! TEN DAYS.

alanstewart- i’m not sure if you were referring to me, but i got rejected from mit, so that was an interesting day/night lol

what will everyone be doing the night of the 30th?

i live in switzerland, so 5 pm for all of you is 11 pm here. im planning to mix myself a drink at around 10:30ish, sit back and wait. after 11, if i’ve been accepted i will drink to celebrate. if i’ve been rejected, i’ll drink in misery. either way, i’m not going to school the next day lol

good luck to everyone though!

i think i’ll probably be doing the same thing as you, citizenerased. but only later that night, since i have to perform with my school’s band that evening lol. somehow i don’t think they’d appreciate it if i showed up drunk.
hopefully my decision will come in the mail that day (since i live in massachusetts, and my mail gets delivered in the morning). that’s what happened with my mit decision. i found out through the mail before i went online.

I’ve decided that I don’t want to find out via TAMS. I’ll just have to wait 2 days for it to arrive in the mail.

nervousness to the max

Considering how bad Tufts is with losing application credentials and how unorganized they are, it could take longer :P

hahhahaha, citizenerased! we are all going to be on our toes. I’m going to be running to a computer every period during the school day and then sitting at it for hours on end at home if i dont get the decision by the end of the school day!

It’s still ten days away … i am driving myself insane, absolutely insane.

They posted the EDI decisions online at like 5pm… so I doubt you’ll have to check in school

oo, true. i remember that.

from last years thread though the RDs came out at around 3 pm. i might still be in school! … hopefully not.

wow I can’t wait for this, all of the Tufts forum getting drunk the night of decisions :)

I’m hearing back from at least 5 schools on that day. I might just stay home and check decisions all day :)

hahhaha.

=)

ahhh just got rejected from william and mary via email, have i any hope for tufts now?

someone please tell me william and mary hates out of staters, and for that matter international students :(

I’m sorry you got rejected, I applied to W&M OOS as well and am not expecting a fat envelope. I’m surprised you heard so early though. Virginia has a law that says state schools have to have at least 2/3 VA students, hence why the competition is much harder for OOS’ers. I don’t think you should give up on tufts yet though, there is still a very good chance you can get in.

yeah im feeling ok about it now, seeing as i wasnt even excited about the school to begin with. all schools email international students, or else it would be late april before we would even find out!

besides, tufts is way up on my list but im so nervous about march 30. just keeping my fingers crossed now for myself and everyone here!
