Rehabilitation Science or Sociology

Hello there,
I’ve heard a lot of people state that your major does not matter in terms of medical school. At Pitt, there is a program to actually earn your B.S in Rehabilitation Science while starting out in the college of arts and sciences. Would that seem to be too vocational of a degree? Would it look like I’m aiming for physical therapy and hurt med school chances? I’m interested in the field of sociology but it doesnt seem to involve the anatomy and physiology and true experience that I would like to have…I dont want to be a bio major as it seems there are wayy too many of those at the moment. Any advice?

Pick something academic. All bets are off when it comes to vocational majors.

Define academic, please.
