<p>I was wondering if I am basically rejected becasue Duke never called asking for my first quarter grades and i didn’t send them until 11/29. I would assume if I were in the running they would’ve asked for my grades much earlier. Someone said maybe it’s because they knew they wanted to take you anyway but I highly doubt it. My stats are sat: 2150/1400 sat2: 720 bio 720 chem gpa: 97.7/100 weighted 95 uw full ib diploma candidate and many ec’s</p>

<p>that’s an odd situation… i doubt that anyone here can really tell you the answer. as much as i hate to say it, you’ll probably have to wait until decisions are announced. if it’s any consolation, i agree with the person who said they probably wanted to take you anyway-- you look like a strong enough candidate to me that the quarter grades would not make much of a difference. it seems to me that the quarter grades would really help with borderline applicants. good luck!</p>
<p>yea i don’t think you would automatically be rejected. the only people that really happens to are people whose numbers don’t even come CLOSE and yours are definitely atleast competitive. quarter grades may not have mattered for you because they figured you weren’t just gonna drop completely. usually quarter grades would probably be helpful when it’s a studen who has had a few problems with grades and they want to see how it turned out…
don’t worry about it (easier said than done, i know) but it doesn’t sound like you’d be rejected off-the-bat.</p>

<p>u definetly won’t be rejected. i think not having it in, was not necessarily your fault cuz they are supposed to ask for it. it is justified. i would relax, even though i can’t lol. have you contacted them???</p>
<p>That makes sense that they would call to see how your grades are this year if you’ve had problems in the past. My counselor got a call (this is for another college) but it was probably to make sure that I was doing fine in math, which I had problems with my soph year.</p>
<p>i don’t know, i mean i look at other posts and kids are applying with sat scores of like 2350 and ranked first in their class. So compared to them my grades are pretty weak</p>

<p>maybe duke is assuming that your school operates on a semester schedule and that quarter grades are not available? That or they haven’t gotten to your app yet or they don’t know when your quarter grades are released and are still waiting for it.</p>

<p>i dont honestly remember but i thought that my schools system was such that they automatically sent in my 1st semester transcript when it was available. but i dont believe duke ever contacted me.</p>
