Bump plzzz

Well-respected/rigorous university + high GPA + active in ECs + awesome high school record + URM status = excellent shot at Stanford as a transfer.

I must ask, though: why? Have you not come to love the university you’re at? From what I’ve seen, those who go to Chicago are those who love it.

I think the key to successful transfer app (in addition to high grades and scores, which you have) is a compelling reason why you want to transfer. Think of what is it that you will be able to find at Stanford that is not available to you at U Chicago.

Nice weather.

I wonder why you were rejected as a freshman. You had the stats, grades, and ECs…maybe one of your recs were weak? If so, then you should make sure to meet Professors at UChi that respect you and know your accomplishments. The transfer rate is extremely low so I can’t say exactly what your chances of getting in are. However, you can be sure they are better than most others. I wish you good luck, but personally I’d stay at Chicago.

Thanks guys, anyone else ?

Kyledavid, I really don’t like being in Chicago and i just don’t feel like I fit in. I think U of C is just one of those place that you really love or you really hate…my older brother goes here as well and he loves it… i really only came here b/c i was rejected at HYS and my bro…Hopefully i can make it into Stanford this time around…

FredFredBurger, i dont know either, I think i got to confident and caught up in the idea that bieng a URM would push me through and didnt write really strong essays…so when freshman decisions came around I got pwned…
