<p>Hey, my brother was rejected from his top choice, (michigan state university). I was pretty surprised he was rejected, he was on the low side of the average gpa/sat… now he is going to his backup… he is only going to apply as a transfer if he doesn’t like where he’s at. How long do you generally have to wait to apply as a transfer… would he pretty much be rejected if he applied as a transfer for the winter semester or to transfer in as a sophmore?</p>
<p>all he needs to do is try his best in college. try to get the best grades possible (grades i would say are the most important thing in transferring, a 4.0 would be ideal), maybe retake some standardized tests if they’re low, try to join some clubs (not too many, he should try for some depth, not breadth), and write stellar essays. it’s really nice to see you caring about your brother like that, i would be proud to have that.</p>
