Rejected by MIT: How about Princeton!

Does my rejection by mit reflects on my future decision in Princeton!
I am a international student from a developing that hasn’t provided stdnt’s to MIT for decennies!
What I kinda lack are numbers: I only heard about this last April so I had no time to prepare: 657 Toefl PBT, 2170 SAT, 800 SAt French, 790 Sat Math lvl2, 760 Sat physics!
I am the top in 1000 students with a near-perfect GPA!
I have been exploiting the scarce opportunities I found in my environment; I founded a chess club and a table-tennis.
I participated in national math olympiadss and was ranked top 10 but unfortunately i missed the chance to get to the IMO!
I qualified for the PAMO(african olympiads) and have national awards in mth games and kangoroo)!
I also have participated in many commnity service projects and was dedicated to them along with wiing tournaments in tennis !

Would my Personality subsitutte my weekness in numbers?
What do you think: IS it a sure rejection?
BTW: I am planningto study engineering !!
Thanks

If indeed you’re a pre-engineering student, then can I ask you to recall your critical analysis skills and calm down? MIT and Princeton admissions are independent events. You well may be rejected by Princeton – but that’s based on Princeton’s criteria. This was the case when you hit the submit button. The fact that you’ve been rejected by MIT is independent of that. Even if you had been accepted by MIT, it will not affect your eventual outcome at Princeton.

The fact is that based on metrics, you’re a viable Princeton candidate. Everyone’s odds are poor so you can’t reasonably expect an acceptance. So now you need to calmly and logically move on with your day. Unless something terrible happens, you seem to be in store for a very successful college career: Princeton or not.

Good luck to you

Odds aren’t that poor. The admit rate for college confidential was ~50 percent this year. However, with your stats things aren’t looking too good.

I know of at least three students last year who were rejected or waitlisted by MIT and were accepted into Princeton. There is hope. Good luck.

^ may be so, but not because of mit! read and re-read post #2
