Rejected ED but just received a confirmation letter for RD application? ***?

<p>Hi CC,</p>

<p>After being named a Questbridge finalist and not getting matched with any of his schools last fall, one of my closest friends tried to find schools to which he could still apply ED, and Northwestern offered him an extended ED deadline. He did everything right and submitted his application by the later deadline they gave him. A few days later, he was rejected.</p>

<p>Now, months later, they send him confirmation that his RD application for fall 2011 is under review.</p>

<p>What kind of school does that? Did this happen to anyone else?</p>

<p>Questbridge is weird. He should just call to find out.</p>

<p>That’s what I told him to do, but it’s Saturday. </3 Also, he applied to Northwestern outside of Questbridge.</p>
