So it happened. I got the last reject letter from my safety school CSU Dominguez Hills. The school that accepts almost everybody except me. My GPA is 3.26 not amazing but ok. What bit me in the ass was attending National University and dropping out in the middle of my classes giving me a 1.96 GPA , then to my surprise another community college I enrolled in, but never attended had given me 2 F’s. I honestly had no idea about the 2 F’s given to me for classes I have never attended. 6 schools I tried to xfer to and 6 rejection letters. Any advice would help.
Did you not formally withdraw from National or the community college? Unfortunately, you can’t just stop attending classes, you have to withdraw from them.
You need to go back to one of your previous schools or enroll in another community college and get an amazing GPA there.
I think your college background may prevent you from being accepted as a transfer for a while. Do really well and a community college, and try again (assuming you aren’t a junior or senior right now).
Same thing happened to me, but they were W’s. You can always file a petition with the school and most likely they will take it off your record. Usually if you never showed for the first day, they will remove them from your permanent record. Also, you should talk to a counselor about your record and make sure you have all the requirements fulfilled to transfer to the CSU system.
You need to sort out the bad grades. Get academic renewal or do what it takes to replace the grades with acceptable ones. The Ds and Fs are lowering your GPA below the 3.26.
In addition make sure you are meeting the guides for transfer. It may take a bit of time but this can be fixed.
You can’t have a 3.26 with F’s and D’s. You also need to check you completed all pre-requisite requirements. Try to retake the classes where you got Ds and Fs to show you’ve improved.
