Wow impressive! Good chances, but still a crapshoot as always. Hope your essays were good.

One SAT II is a little odd though…

^ Yes, sure that 99% percent of places (including Yale) require at least 2.

At least you are not applying for aid, but you look good. Check your essays and if they are good, get 2 dice. Throw them, and if you get 11 or more you got into Yale! (8.33% chance) :)

He used ACT, so didn’t need SAT II.

You have excellent credentials, and will get into several highly selective schools, assuming you have a good list. The only weakness in your resume–and it’s not really a weakness compared to almost anybody else–is that your ECs and achievements are mostly in the school. But those are really good.

As for Yale, you might get in, and you might not. A bunch of people not that different from you were deferred SCEA–while some were admitted, and a couple were rejected. If your early school was Stanford, they reject a lot more in SCEA than Yale does.

Good luck!

Your chances are just fine, don’t worry. However, just a word of advice if you do actually get into Yale. The fact that you didn’t send your 730 USH score shows that you are WAY TOO worried about stats. A 730 is an excellent score and is nothing to be ashamed of, but if that type of a score makes you feel bad about yourself, you need to get a grip because there are numerous B+'s and A-'s coming your way if you get into Yale or any Ivy for that matter.

A 730 on the U.S. History is the 84th percentile. That’s obviously very good, but a 35 on the ACT is better–I think the OP made the strategically smart decision.

Thanks for the chances everyone!

It’s not that a 730 is a bad score (haha I was very happy with it when I got it), it’s just that I did well on the ACT so I’m only sending ACT’s (when I said I didn’t send I was referring to both SAT II’s), but I have them for a couple of my schools that require SAT II’s. I am not really over obsessed with those scores since I only took the ACT once and same with my SAT II’s.

Hunt I agree with you on my weakness, thanks for that great insight! And Stanford was my early school, it was my dream school by far. I just got a bit worried with my chances at other schools since I did not even get deferred from Stanford early, which would mean I’m not in the top 20% of their early action pool (someone check my logic on this?).

Btw everyone I submitted the app tonight so hopefully that’s early enough for me to get an interview? thoughts on that?

Just to update y’all, I was waitlisted, and eventually rejected off the waitlist (at least I assume so since I haven’t gotten a call and it’s pretty much June).
