I’m a history major with a 3.0 GPA. My TAG was approved last fall and I just got the rejection email and update. The strange thing is that my GPA is up to TAG standards, as well as my current coursework. Along with that, IGETC would be completed by the end of this semester, so I do not see how it would have been voided. Their offices are closed now, so I will have to call back on Monday and see what happens then.

Anyone else have a similar problem? Any suggestions?

Only suggestion is to do what you said, call back on Monday. If you had an approved TAG either they messed up or there was a discrepancy on your application, so call and find out what’s up. Good luck!

Thanks for the response, I just looked back at my application and it appears there is a discrepancy in that I had forgotten to state that I took a history class last fall. Even though, I had taken several other history classes prior and I would still have fulfill everything mandated by the TAG by the end of this semester.

It’s because your IGETC isn’t completed. You can complete the last required course(s) for this semester and submit the grades with an appeal letter. This happened to me and after I sent my grades in with an appeal letter I was accepted.

When my TAG was approved, it said I had to finish my last math class by the end of this semester, which I am doing right now. I will be sure to get that in with my appeal, thanks for your reply.

What are you majoring in MooseDog? It is strange to me that you got rejected with everything that you listed.

amsstory, I’m a history major.
