Rejected from UCLA, Possibility of USB or Columbia?

I got my rejection from UCLA last night and I started thinking if I can’t get into a college like UCLA (not saying that it’s not a great school), is there even a likely possibility that I could get into UCB, Columbia, Cornell, or (long shot now it seems) Stanford ? I know it’s hard to speculate, but perhaps the people of College Confidential have any thoughts?

Stats:
ACT: 28
SAT: Low 1900s (Lowest in Reading - 570)
Grades: As and Bs (One C all of in high school; Bs only in History and English)
GPA: 3.7 Unweighted / 4.7 Weighted
Extracurricular Activities: Lacrosse (2 years), Mentor (2 years), Mock Trial, Volunteer work

I would never use UCLA as a school to compare against a private. UCs are all about numbers, and particularly LA and Berktown are a dice roll. For instance, I would be considered way below the “benchmark” in terms of GPA for any school better than Santa Cruz. However, I found myself being accepted to all four UCs that I applied to (LA, Davis, SC and SB) with generous scholarships. I have friends who have nearly perfect grades and scores, do so many more ECs and are great candidates for the Ivies who were rejected from LA. Privates tend to take a more holistic approach to admissions than do the publics, particularly the top UCs.

Your SAT is pretty low, and you should calculate your UC GPA. I’m pretty sure it can’t even get that high due to the limit placed on weighted classes. UCs don’t like Cs at all, period. In my personal opinion, Berkeley is a longshot. I don’t know enough about the other schools to make an opinion. Unless you were the captain or president of any of those ECs you have, Stanford is probably a pretty far longshot too.
