Rejected SCS ED1, apply to CIT and Tepper RD?

<p>Title pretty much sums it up. I was rejected from SCS in early decision. I listed CIT as my second choice and tepper as my third. I know CMU only considers your top choice in early decision, and I figured if I got rejected the second two would move to regular decision, but</a> on the decision site it says they were cancelled.</p>

<p>I remember reading in another thread that if I want to be considered in regular decision I need to alert the admission office, and email them a revised "Why CMU?" essay that includes only the remaining departments. </p>

<p>Can anyone confirm or deny this? Is there anything else I need to do?</p>

It could have changed.</p>

<p>Call admissions ASAP or email them and ask your question directly.
Hopefully your essay was open enough that it will not be a 360 in a new one.
The interests should have overlapped from the start so it makes sense.</p>
