Do i need to formally reject schools i’m not going to? i forgot the passwords. O________O is not accepting equivalent to rejecting??

Yes. It’s inconsiderate to the people on the waitlists who actually want to go to the schools. It means more time the colleges have to spend figuring out what your situation si. Even if you forgot the passwords, the colleges probably sent you a form and a pre-paid envelope in the mail where you can check a box that says you’re not going. If not, just write them a quick note and mail it. It’s not a lot of effort, and it could really help someone out. Not accepting is the rude and somewhat irresponsible equivalent to rejecting.

Example - one of the colleges my daughter declined (with a nice note explaining her decision) just wrote her that both her acceptance and merit scholarship would be available to her for two years, if she decided to transfer. Spend a little time showing good manners and it will be appreciated.

Or, if you don’t have such an envelope, or a password, just send an email to the college’s admissions home. I did that with one school where I lost the envelope, and it worked out fine.
