It is really hard to endure the pain that is recieved after getting such a fancy rejection letter from so called dream college.

you can avoid such trauma by trying not to get attached to any one college. i had a couple of ‘top’ choices. i didn’t get into all of them, but i was happy to get into the ones i really liked, but at the same time did not invest all of my emotion in to.

i also applied to a hell of a lot of schools. it was a pain in the butt w/ the apps, but im happy where im at now since i have lots of awesome choices. some of my friends, on the other hand, who thought i was crazy for applying to so many schools back in january now regret that they had not applied to more.

basically–keep your options open (don’t put all your eggs in one basket), and don’t be afraid to apply to a lot of schools. the cost of regret is much more ‘expensive’ than the cost of the application fee.

You could always deliver a bomb threat/rejection of the rejection to the college, along with a note saying “SEE YOU NEXT FALL =) =) =)”
