<p>I’m a rising senior trying for UC Berkely. If two of my cousins in state graduated from UC would it give me a higher chance of getting in eventhough I’m from NJ?</p>

<p>Legacy status almost always applies to parents and grandparents. I’ve never heard of the cousin thing – unless he/she were gonna donate a few million and said to them: “I have this cousin who is a rising senior and would love…”</p>
