Relatively Easy SAT?

It was my first time taking the SAT. I’ve had private prep classes for it since August, so I was well prepared. I usually score in the 1800s and 1900s, but I feel like I did really good on this one. CR is usually my worst, but I felt pretty good about it today. Has anyone ever done significantly better on the real thing than they did on practice SATs? Just wondering!

I was scoring in the 1700 to 1900 range on practice exams and got a 2110 on the real thing, but I only took 2 or 3 practice exams, the Jan SAT did feel ALOT easier than others

The essay portion was def. very easy. The others were average.

I think it depends on the practices tests you used when studying. For example, the practice problems from Barron’s SAT Math workbook will tend to be more difficult than the real test. Thus, if you are practicing from a source that is known to be more difficult, then yes, it is possible to score higher on the real exam since you will be well prepared.

I used the blue book and other old exams.

my son took SAT Chem twice. He got 680 on the first attempt, 780 on the second. As soon as he finished taking the test the second time, he told me that it was a much easier test. (he didn’t study at all after the 1st test). The same feeling was share among of his peers.
