So I am an Junior engineering student at Penn State University. I am currently putting together my resume for internship applications. I am just wondering if i should even put the intro classes in engineering under relevant coursework. Pretty much every engineer takes Physics 1 and 2, calculus 1-3 and differential equations. Is it worth putting that on my resume? Should companies just assume ive taken those courses if im a junior anyway?
IIRC DS’s only put more specialized engineering classes on their internship resumes.
llrc ds’s?
I believe what @jym626 said was, “If I remember correctly (IIRC) dear sons (DS’s) only put more specialized engineering classes on their internship resumes.”
You don’t need to list the basic classes, but you’re probably currently enrolled in more specialized classes which you can list.
Correct on both abbreviations. Typical cc speak. The abbreviation thread(s) can be very helpful with that.
Adding: I don’t know what field of engineering you’re in, but for civil, examples of relevant coursework would be Matrix Structural Analysis, Reinforced Concrete, Applied Structural Mechanics, etc.
