Religiously Affiliated Schools and Their Selectivity

I get bored easily. To satiate my boredom, I take stupid statistical samplings of America’s colleges. For today’s selection, we have a comparison of religious affiliation versus selectivity. Many of these separate denominations should probably be combined (ie: Wesleyan Church should most likely be put together with United Methodist Church), but, as a Northeastern Jew, I’m erring on the side of caution, and don’t want to many any possibly offensive mistakes.

Anyway, a short disclaimer, this isn’t implied to state that any one religion is “smarter” than another. This simply states the overall selectivity of schools currently affiliated with a certain religion.

wow… have you thought about picking up an AP ind. study?

i dont know what any of that means…

am i missing something?

you might have invented a cure for cancer with that amount of time…

oh well…at least we got some pretty stats to look at…

Interesting … especially that combined, the average SAT is a D- or so. D:

Also, fhimas88888888 was suggesting that you study an AP course independently. >.<

ohhhhhhhh, SAT and ACT scores…didnt see that at the top. Whoa…sometimes things just fly over my head.

Well…thats an interesting statistic.

Yeah… thanks kyledavid80. They’re fun (nudge nudge)!!!

Nah, it doesn’t take that long. I actually do it to improve my data analysis and memory (which so far has been a success). This took about an hour and a half…none of my friends were around, it was cold and rainy…I figure, why the heck not.

HeavenWood:

It beats watching the telly or playing video games. Good on ya!

Richard Hofstadter once wrote something like:

A Methodist is a Baptist with shoes
A Presbyterian is a Methodist with a college education
An Episcopalian is a Presbyterian that lives off his investments.

Of course, Hofstadter was willfully wrong about pretty much everything, as I understand it. Still, it’s cute.

Was that sarcastic tarhunt? :)

Yeah, it actually does. Nothing was on TV, and I’ve pretty much outgrown video games.
