I was very pleasantly surprised with the movie. I really enjoy it from start to finish!

The book was still better but I thought the movie was extremely well done. And DH, who hadn’t even heard of the book (what planet does that man live on??) also enjoyed it.

Neither brother nor husband had heard of the book. My short explanation that it was about an older woman who develops a relationship with an octopus was met with, more or less, incredulity.

From this description alone, it sounds like it might be a bit lewd, like The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife…
