Remedial classes credit

<p>I just finished my first year at CC and I have a few concerns about doing TAG</p>

<p>As of right now, I have 29 credits completed, but I had to take 1 remedial english class that was 4 credits. I’m going to be taking english 1a and econ over the summer, and that’ll bring me up to 35 credits, or 31 without the remedial class.</p>

<p>Do the UC’s count my remedial english class credit? I would really like to know because I’m in the process of signing up for my fall classes and I’m wondering if I need to take another one to make up for my remedial class so I can have 60 units by spring 2014.</p>

<p>On an unrelated note, is it possible to get into UCLA math/econ program or UCB econ program with a 3.6 gpa? Right now I have a 3.5, and if I were to get A’s in all of my summer and fall classes, that would bring me up to a 3.67. I’m only applying to these 2 UC’s in addition to the school I’m planning to TAG to ,UCD applied math and cal poly for econ</p>

<p>Remedial classes do NOT count toward your UC GPA nor do they count toward the UC unit count. Also, with a 3.6, you have a crap shot of getting accepted to UCLA or Berkeley. The average GPA accepted at UCLA for econ was a 3.93.</p>
