Remember this college TV show from the early 90s?

I wanted to recommend one of my favorite TV shows from the early 90s. My D and I watched all four seasons of Felicity this summer on Netflix. For those of you who never watched the show, it chronicles Felicity’s four years at a fictional college in New York City. It pretty much covered all possible situations and issues that might arise during your college years. In my opinion, it is vastly better than some of the current TV shows that are about young adults.

I used to love that show. However I think the premise, the girl goes to college cross country to follow a boy who barely knew she existed in high school, is most parents’ worst nightmare…lol

I agree that the way the show started out was pretty hokey. Also what parent wants to find out that their child is changing their major from pre-med to art. But the show covered many important issues such as date rape, alcoholism, cheating, roommate problems etc. My D and I were able to discuss some of the things that happened in the show and it was definitely worthwhile for us to watch it together. She just began her sophomore year.

I never watched it (house full of boys so hardly the demographic). I just remember the fuss when the actress cut off her very long curls. It seemed like an awful lot of attention to someone’s hair.
