<p>If you’re applying to a college like UChicago or Brown University, you might need to upload some of your supplemental essays as PDF files. Now, if you’re doing this for the first time, don’t worry about it; however, if you’re planning to delete the original copy and upload a new version of your document, make sure to change the file name before uploading it. Otherwise, the Common Application will show the “Does this look good to you?” pop-up with the correct file, but it will save with the old file.</p>
<p>Note: I’m just taking this from my experience with Brown University’s Common Application supplement, but I’m assuming it would be the same for all schools that ask for uploaded documents. I’m just putting this out there because I got extremely close to submitting my application with an old version of my essay.</p>
