<p>Parents of dependent students attending college at UW-Madison (a declared Midwestern Disaster Zone due to the June 2008 floods) can claim up to a $3,600 Hope education credit (depending on income limitations and other requirements). To obtain the maximum amount of credit, one of the requirements is that tuition/fees/books/supplies etc paid in 2009 is $4,800 or more. </p>
