When multiple kids are renting a house does each kid need their own renters insurance policy or can you get 1?

They each need their own.

I have a question.
If someone is living in a home that is owned by someone else and they are receiving room & board as part of their pay, how is that communicated for the quote, or is it easier just to call and actually talk to an agent?

Call the agent. Rent isn’t a factor in renter’s insurance - just the value of the possessions and sometimes personal liability.

That’s what I thought.
It’s too late to get a policy probably anyway.
I told her to pack her backpack to be ready to go. Her most expensive possessions besides her laptop are her SLR, her backpack, bag & tent.
And those things she can have by the door.
