Hi, I’m currently in grade 10 and I missed my chance to apply to BS’s for 2024-2025. I want to apply next year(while I’m in gr11, applying for 2025-2026)but applying is always a year earlier, I was wondering if it would be weird to apply to 10th grade because I know getting into 11th is harder. I am also younger than my peers which means I would only be a year older than the people I would be with in BS, and the same age as people who repeated grade 9 (which is kinda common)
I would prefer to go to one in the UK, i also know that grade 10 (year 11) is gces year.

I knew a kid who turned 21 the year he graduated from my prep school. So it worked out for him

For US schools, applying to repeat grades 10 and 11 isn’t an option. While there may be exceptions (and I’ve never seen it), it likely wouldn’t apply to you
My guess is the same applies to UK schools.
I’ve seen people repeating 10th grade, actually.

I don’t know what you’re talking about but if you are asking me if I know application deadlines are this month I know they are, or are you asking if it is too late in general?
Many kids come to Hotchkiss every year as repeat 10th graders and rarely as 11th graders.
None of whom completed 11th grade before coming to Hotchkiss
