Replying to Professors

<p>Okay, so I asked a professor for research position over summer and he asked me if I am willing to volunteer and what weeks I am available,</p>

<p>So I need to reply. But I dont want to sound so desperate or sooo happy that I got this position. In what tone should I reply and what should I say so the prof. will think that I’m not desperately looking for any lab positions.</p>
