Report 10 points higher?

I took the Chemistry SAT in November and reported it to everywhere (MIT, Stanford, Caltech, etc.) I know, this was probably a stupid idea to begin with. I retook it this month and I just got my delayed score of a 710. Is it even worth reporting? I mean, the fact that I took it twice and barely improved could outweigh the increase, right?

Don’t say that it won’t matter! Sorry for the outburst, but your improvement can still help you. (If the deadline has passed for regular admission, then you would have to talk to an admissions rep to see if they can still accept your new score.) Although you see it has a 10 point increase, it could mean the difference between a competitive application or not. They may say the average is around a 720, however, that could be last years scores and this year the average could be 700. Would you want to be average or above average?? As for taking it twice, you should congratulate yourself because you knew there was room for improvement even if it wasn’t much. Schools like to see kids continually challenging themselves to do better.

Come on guys, I need to report scores ASAP, anyone else?

I wouldn’t. 710 on chem is very low for those schools. Would not want to refocus any attention there.

I agree with hmom; I wouldn’t say the score is “very low”, but you definitely don’t want your SAT score to be the determining factor in your application.
Also, don’t you have to pay College Board to report your score? College Board does not deserve any more money hahaha.
