So far 2 different toasters have overdone it a little bit on the toast
I’ll try one more…
Lets keep this thread going so none of use feels like a thread killer!

PS-- forgot to mention-- so glad you made your train, veryhappy. What’s NY without someone running frenetically to to catch the train??

I do it Monday through Friday, so it’s kinda in my blood. And I had checked beforehand to see which track the train was leaving from, so all I had to do was get there and hop on. For an old New Yorker like me, it was just like breathing!

The rest of the day was a blur – got to the grocery by 3:30, home by 4:30, cooked up a storm for my dinner guests, finished cooking by 6:00, cleaned up the kitchen, finished cleaning what my DH siad he would clean but didn’t, freshened up, and guests arrived by 6:45. Phew!

All-in-all, a perfect day!!

So – shall we do this once a quarter??

^^^ Wow!! Glad all went well. Sounds like you pulled it off without a hitch! AS for a reunion, I’ll let everyone know when I’ll be back up North, but you don’t have to wait for me to get together.

jym - But you and momof3sons did such a great job organizing the whole thing! We need you both!

Also, I’m sorry your toasters are overdoing the bread - I just set mine on the lowest setting, and it turned out right. Maybe, just stick it in the oven for a minute while you’re cooking dinner?

It sounds like a great time was had by all - I’m sorry I missed it! I’ll look forward to the next one.

^^^ Your ears musta been burning, NYmomof2-- we talked about you! ;)

^^^ and here I thought you were having an interesting conversation!

^^^ NYmomof2,
Oh, but we were having an interesting conversation!! :D
