Until when do I need to report to the UCLA and UC berkely my TOEFL score that I am planning to take in December? The UC deadline is December 2nd and I am taking TOEFL after that date. Until when do I have the time to report my TOEFL score? In addition, as an international applicant, I will at least have to have 100+ TOEFL score right? Does it matter if I barely pass the minimum required by the college, or is TOEFL treated the same as SAT? (higher the score, the higher the chance to be accepted)
No. It’s more like a driver’s license; you just need to hit the minimum requirement
You have until January to report your TOEFL score to UC Berkeley and UCLA if you are taking it in December.
From the UC Website:
Keep in mind: A UC campus may require a score higher than the minimum for admission selection. And, some campuses may request an interview to determine English skills during the application review process.
Self-report your English proficiency scores in the UC application. If you are offered admission, send your scores after admission only to the campus where you intend to enroll. Scores must still be valid (not expired) when you submit them to the campus.
We strongly recommend that you take the test as early as possible, because your score may be a factor in whether or not we’re able to admit you.
