Reporting SAT/ACT scores to collective University systems

There are several collective university systems in the US like

  • University of Texas System
  • Penn State
  • California State Universities

While applying to multiple colleges in the system, is it sufficient to send SAT/ACT scores just once to the system or will it be required to send it to each of the individual colleges to which applications are being made?

You need to send your SAT/ACT scores to each university that you will apply.

For the Cal States and Poly’s, you need send only one set of scores to the CSUMentor for SAT’s and all CSU’s will then have them, and for ACTs, you send them to any one of the CSU’s and then you use an online tool with CSUMentor to designate any other CSU’s to get them. For the UC’s, you need send SAT or ACT scores to any one UC and then all UC’s will automatically have them. I am not sure but I do not believe the UTexas or Penn universities have a single-send system and instead you need to send scores to each university within the state system.
