Oh, now Trump is involved:

Of course making it worse as Brown is still not saying they have a suspect in custody and telling students to still shelter in place.

Thank you.

Also, a news conference is reportedly scheduled shortly on CNN.

ETA: It’s started.

2 dead and 8 in critical condition. Shelter in place still in effect.

When this kind of thing happens, everything is chaotic. We’ve had a high school shooting, a college shooting and a church shooting in my area in the past few years. Tips flood police, and they have to check out everything. People have to hang tight until things shake out in order to get good information. It does not appear that Brown police said that the lockdown was over when they said they had a suspect in custody - and they didn’t say “the” suspect - so indicating that they thought they had a suspect when they did not didn’t put anyone in danger. That’s the important thing.

The report of shots at Governors Street has also been retracted.

ETA: I’m seeing live helicopter shors of students sheltering in place in the Sci-Li.

Prayers Up. Ever True.
