I had my teachers send rec letters to two schools that I planned on applying to. However, I’ve been accepted to my top choice (state school) and I feel like dropping those schools as I wouldn’t attend them anyway because of the cost. They have received my teacher rec, however I haven’t submitted applications yet. There are no repercussions if I decide not to finish the application right? I guess I’m being paranoid right now but I’d just like some reassurance. Thanks.

There are no repercussions, however, you may want to follow through just in case something falls through with your top choice. If finances are a concern, you may be surprised to see the financial aid available as some schools. They may be looking for a minority, an out-of-state student, or something else unique about you and will meet more of your financial need to fill out their student body.
