Reputable On-line Animation Courses?

<p>Greetings,
A friend’s daughter is trying to move forward after some very difficult times: HS harrassement issues, the death of her father, speech difficulties, and pretty major financial problems. She is 19, has never held an outside job, and gets pretty twitchy in crowds - especially in a school environment.</p>

<p>She is currently planning on enrolling in an on-line animation course of some sort. Traditional college seems to be out for the moment due to the young lady’s difficulty in crowds. On the positive side - she is quite talented as an artist. But - I am not familiar with on-line courses and wonder which - if any - might provide any sort of a good career path.</p>

<p>This is particularly hard as it would be wonderful if she could attend classes with other young people of similar interests - but it seems like an insurmountable barrier at the more.</p>

<p>Any ideas, suggestions or prayers would be appreciated.</p>

<p>My son taught himself how to do digital animation–free of charge. There are a few good forums where learners can post questions–and look for jobs. He has hired animators off the internet too–he has also hired concept sketch artists from these sites.</p>

<p>He’s just hopped on a bus for a weekend trip–but I will post some add’l info in a few days.</p>
