<p>Hi, I’m new to this thread and I am currently a sophomore in high school, and I was wondering what it would take to become a Percussion Instructor at a high school or something after graduating college, things such as what Majors I need and what specific classes I’d need to take in college. I checked other posts and they weren’t quite as specific as this one, so I thought I’d ask.</p>
<p>You would need to major in Music with a Percussion Performance degree - or major in Music Education with an emphasis on percussion. I suggest you hop over to the Music Major Forum and ask this question there. Lots of percussionists, or parents of percussionists who will be happy to help guide you in the next few years.</p>
