<p>If you’re on financial aid, I think many college allow you to submit a form saying you don’t have health insurance and then they’ll cover it under financial aid. Depends on which school you’re going to and whether health insurance is mandatory for students.</p>
<p>If you can be covered under your parents’ policy, you can waive the school’s health insurance.</p>
<p>Waterlilies…most colleges require that you either carry the school plan OR have an equivalent plan of your own. This plan could be one which your parents have you on. If you have equivalent coverage through your parents, your college should have a waiver form. You will have to state what coverage you have, and verify that it is equivalent…or better than what your school offers and covers you where the school is located.</p>
