<p>I feel like this chances forum would benefit from some sort of written guidelines as to what type of requisites are involved in gaining admission to Ivies/USNWR Top Colleges. So, this thread (and hopefully it won’t die) is for everyone to post their advice/opinion on admissions so people looking for chances can get a good idea of what to expect without having to suffer through posting a thread and bumping it every few hours. Besides that, it should benefit everyone to know what top colleges are looking for in general. Naturally, we won’t all agree on certain things, so anyone and everyone is free to throw in their 2 bits. Someone, however, will need to lay down a foundation (a guide to the basics that other posters can build upon). I would do it, except I don’t feel I’m qualified enough. I’m interested to see where this will go and how peoples’ opinions compare. Thx.</p>
<p>The easiest thing (and this thread has been done before) is GPA and SAT as high as possible (if not perfect). And stellar ECs (extra points if you’ve cured cancer or written a best selling novel).</p>
