Requirement Credits

I’ve asked this before, and read the response again, but I’m still confused! If a class lists several Areas of Knowledge and Modes of Inquiry that it fulfills, what is the maximum credit in each area that you can get for that single class? For example, if a class offers credit for both 2 different Areas of Knowledge and 2 different Modes of Inquiry, what is the credit you get? Thanks!

You get all 4. That’s why its a treat to find these types of classes. If you are looking for one that fulfills alot of different MOI’s and AoK’s (haha, i like that name), a little known secret is that the religion classes (esp. 101, 102) fulfill alot of different reqs all at once.

That being said, don’t worry about the requirements! They really shouldn’t dictate your schedule for your first semester. For the most part, they will take care of themselves during your 4 years here.

Dumb question… but where is everyone finding the matrices? That would make life sooooo much easier since I’m unclear which classes fulfill what reqs.

I’m confused as well gcards… I can’t find where those things are listed ~.~

i took a writing 20 and a language cause i thought i had to first sem.

duke.edu -> search -> trinity degree programs -> http://www.registrar.duke.edu/bulletins/Undergraduate/2006-07/degrees.pdf

Thank you!

Chuckleybob, back when I was in school, I don’t think that was right. I think you get everything, except that you only get one AOK. Is this a change in policy?

Yup, Mike is right.
