My child received her acceptance letter yesterday but she received an extended expulsion (half of remainder of year) for violating the school code. Will Pitt rescind her acceptance provided she maintains her grades?
Hello @nardooz,
Please call our office and ask to speak with an Admissions Counselor. They can discuss the situation with you and give you more information: 412-624-7488.
Thanks,

I was wondering if you could give me some idea, without revealing who we are. The penalty is quite harsh for the violation and the penalty hasn’t been finalized yet. We would like to be able to present the consequences of the penalty to the board regarding this otherwise stellar student who has never even had a minor violation in the past.
@nardooz, Unfortunately, I am unable to speak to your specific situation with so little information. This really is a conversation that you should have with one of our admissions counselors. As you probably read in your child’s admissions letter, their acceptance is provisional based on continued satisfactory performance and graduation from high school.
I would encourage you to contact our office and speak to an admissions counselor after the appeal process is complete and the situation with the penalty has been finalized.
Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
