rescinded from UCR questions?

<p>Hi, I am new to this community and I just had a few questions regarding my former college of choice:

  1. I was accepted but rescinded after failing a math course. I have registered for a community already and plan to transfer to a different school, and I want a major that focuses less on the core academics like math and science, and has more of a focus on the arts and humanities with lots of opportunities to work with people. any suggestions?
  2. I was rescinded AFTER applying for the orientation and paying for a lot of stuff that we haven’t even gone to or used, and it totaled to quite a few hundred dollars. Is there any way to get a refund for any of these things? Or do they purposely wait until AFTER the deadline to register for these things so they can take your money?
  3. Sorry if I sound like a total d-bag, but I’m just a bit angry that we got the rescind letter after tossing so much cash out of our wallets.</p>

<p>For Q2, you can ASK for the money back but the school might just say no. You knew what the requirements were for getting into the school (acceptance was contingent on maintaining your academic standing).</p>
