I got accepted to SB as a pre-poli sci major with a 3.8 weighted GPA and a good number of weighted classes.

My transcript is laced with Bs and Cs in math, but SB accepted me even with those grades. Right now my grade in AP Calc AB is pretty darn borderline, and I’m wondering if they’d rescind my admission if I got a D+, even though I’m not a math/science major.

Even with my abysmal calculus grade, the rest of my grades are fine and I know for sure that unless some awful twist of fate happens, I’ll be able to pull off at least a 3.5 weighted, if not better.

prolly not…esp if youre other grades are fine…and youve already completed the a-g math requirement…though it kinda hurts you that youre taking AB and not the harder BC

you still have your final exam probably, and since you have a D+ (as opposed to a straight D), i would imagine it isnt that hard to get it up to a C- with a little bit of studying…also, if you passed the AP test, that’s good

what’s up with all the people worried about rescission?

you’ll be fine. They’re not gonna rescind you over a couple percentage points in one class

Son,

They gonna kick you out.

Not really. Call them, you should be fine.

yeah I have a friend that got dropped failed from a class and she contacted the admissions office and they said they dont usually rescind anybody if it is not a required course
