Could you get rescinded for 3 B’s your SECOND semester? (even if your year-long overall grade for one of those classes is an A, overall for other 2 is a B) Thanks!
Only Undergraduate Admissions could authoritative answer your question (and, even than, I strongly suspect this is an “individual by individual” judgement, not a qualitatively-driven decision). My guess is you would not be rescinded, however, I respectfully offer a caution.
Every October, a sizable minority of each freshman class is briefly “devastated” by the fact that – for the very first time in their short lives – they received B’s (and sometimes C’s or even D’s). This annual Autumnal right is as predictable as the falling leaves. Having knowing the top Student Affairs leadership well, and for many years, I can assuredly tell you that the fundamental, underlying reason for this is academic standards and competition at Duke are demanding and tough – a LOT more difficult than almost all freshman ever anticipate – despite overwhelming student-to-student and facualty-to-student cooperation. Therefore, I urge to leave your “senioritis” at home; you’ll probably get away with it now, but a similar attitude might be a MAJOR problem in six months.
I agree wholeheartedly with @TopTier you probably won’t get reminded but if you let senioritis creep into freshman year it will be a huge problem. Relaxing now is fine as long as you don’t over do it but make sure to change those habits before your first classes. Many of my classmates found that out the hard way this past year
In short, no. Definitely no.
