What is expected in the optional research description in the app.? I have written a paper (didn’t win anything major though) based on an internship i had, so I was wondering if an abstract would suffice for this section.

An abstract would be good, but make sure you dumb it down. I would also introduce it by describing where you worked, for how long, doing what, and what it culminated into.

Are you also getting a recommendation from the people you worked for?

Could you also write a summary of your research experience? This is what I did, since I worked on multiple projects in the same vein, and writing multiple abstracts would have made the description too long and not cohesive.

You also may want to add in what you learned/took away from the experience.

Do we send the abstract or the entire paper to MIT?

No clue…try asking in the MIT forum instead?

Sorry, I meant Duke.
