Does anybody know of any specific opportunities to do research during the school year at Duke? I’m particularly interested in research related to biology.

same here, I’m interested in biochemical research - are any opportunities available to first-year students?

The same except for sociology and economics lol

I’ll attempt to e-mail a prof or something sometime

there’s an apprenticeship that’s only available to first-years during the spring semester-- it’s not entirely research based, but an excellent way to really dive into a field you’re interested in. a friend of mine did this in sociology.

I’m no longer a first year student. I’ll be a sophomore.

is the apprenticeship offered in every academic dept.? If so, how many in each? Thanks.

They mentioned something in chemistry last year also. I think you said you’re taking orgo lee so the prof will tell you about it halfway through the semester or youll get an email or something like that.

ok thats cool, thanks :)
