<p>I’m currently writing a novel with a character based in UCSB</p>
<p>I’m British so pls bear with me, different system in America!</p>
<p>The main character in my book is a British student who transfers to UCSB for the
last yr of her degree. I know about International Student orientation day.
Is there a registration day for students in their last yr, when does it take
place?
Do you choose new courses in your last yr?
Any anecdotes you might like to share?
I’m particularly interested in how the system works at the beginning of the
yr, arrival, formalities… and about taking your finals, graduation day,
who makes a speech, I know the chancellor does at UCSB, what about the
deacons?
Anybody doing Literature, English, Humanities?
