I am applying to Stanford SCEA and I was wondering what they look for in an additional recommendation. My boss is not used to writing undergraduate letters of recommendation and he was asking me for some general guidelines. What do the admissions officers look for specifically in an additional recommendation? Do they want him to write about me as a person (as in my character traits and how I get along with others in the lab, how I ask a lot of questions), write about the research I do, or the usual dedication, diligence, intelligence, etc? I really don’t know how it should be different from my normal recs… :(. Any general guidelines or tips would be greatly appreciated :). Thanks!
