<p>I met with my advisor this week and she told me with the GPA I have (a 3.8) I should consider doing research with a professor in the subject area I am interested in. She also told me the research would fill in for the internship requirement. I was wondering what experiences others had doing research for a professor. I am a little confused about what it exactly is. </p>
<p>My major is Public Health with a concentration in Health Administration. My areas of interest are drugs, alcohol and mental health. I plan on graduating next spring (2012) and I am going to apply for the rehabilitation counseling graduate program. </p>
