"research"???

when people say research do they mean theyre doing all the calculations etc with PhD’s or do they mean theyre lab aids/help record numbers.

if its the former then… wow… if the latter, then i have a chance to work as a lab aid with some people from columbia u.

That’s great! Even if you are only offered a have a chance to make coffee in a lab you should take it. (assuming you are interested in research). Once they get to know you, you’ll be able to do more.

Most people are referring to work with a professor on his paper/ gathering data, and others are referring to doing independent research. I think it would be a good idea to work as a lab aid. Any demonstrated interest in an intended field of study just makes you a stronger candidate when apply to schools.
