Wondering which residence halls at the University of Wisconsin - Madison have the most upperclassmen living in them?
Im doing a semester exchange to UW in the fall 2013 and really dont want to be living in dorms with mostly freshmen.
The UW housing website doesn’t really give you an idea about what the best fit is depending on ‘age’.

I have a freshman at UW who lives in one of the huge freshman dorms in southeast neighborhood. In Southeast, Smith has singles and Ogg has doubles, both have fewer freshman than giant Sellery and Witte freshman dorms which are 1000+ freshman. I would be very surprised if freshman wound up in Merit House, also in southeast.

Bradley/Chadbourne are learning community dorms in southeast, and Bradley has singles so more likely to have non-freshman. They are right next to each other and centrally located, with Chad having a dining hall in the building.

I don’t know Lakeshore dorms, but Liz Waters and the new palace, Dejope, are thought to be harder for freshman to get into so are more likely to have upper class students.

I would suggest going to the CC page for UW Madison and doing a search on dorms – that is a fairly active school-specific site so you are likely to get good info.

Enjoy!

Thanks heaps!
