Congratulations to her! Such a special time! (Coming from the doctor parent whose kid really couldn’t celebrate Match Day because hers was…2020). So celebrate big time!

DS matched at home program. We were hoping for home state program but home program is better fit for him. Orthopedics department chair stopped by to personally welcome him.

I just went back to March 2020 when our DD and four or five others from this forum matched for residency. Many of us still keep on touch, and most have finished their residencies and are now attendings. We were such a great support to one another during the whole interview, and ranking process…and keeping fingers crossed for match day.
Our young women didn’t have an in person match day or medical school graduation, so their first celebrations were at their residency completions. And a couple added fellowships to their training.
it was nice having this cohort of parents, and it was fun to scroll back and read some of the posts!
